Archangel: From On-rails VR to Off-rails Multiplayer Mayhem

In 2017, VR shooter Archangel launched to favorable reviews, but there was a strong demand to add off-rails multiplayer. To accomplish this, the team completely redesigned the game, creating new maps to accommodate complete freedom of movement and a new control scheme to balance player mobility with the 360° aiming system. This panel will discuss how Skydance Interactive created a compelling PvP experience that leverages the immersion of VR hardware in a way that few games have attempted.
