How To Mix 3rd Party Assets Without Your Game Looking Terrible
With thousands of models, textures or music resources, merely throwing together 3rd party assets leads to Frankenstein-ian results and “Asset Flipper” stigma soon looms. However, there is a method to this madness. In this talk, I will describe how to mock-up a cohesive vision, mix assets of different styles (vector with pixel art, or 2D with 3D), and “recycle” assets in clever ways. I will provide plentiful visual examples from my own games to go with each point.
